Imogen Cuningham Inspired
Down Town
This body of work that I have titled Outside the Box is inspired by one of my favorite photographers, Imogen Cuningham. She was a photographer born in 1883 and her career spanned from the 1920s till she died in her 90s. What I loved the most about Imogen is that she could photograph something as mundane as the buildings downtown and manage to make a beautiful photo that pulls her viewer in. For this project, I wanted to achieve the same. Take a photo of something mundane and turn it into something that pulls the viewer in. This project is a reflection of what made me love Imogen’s work.
These Images were taken with my Canon Rebel.
